4 Ways To Change Successfully

Change is vital in life. The older we get the more it seems harder to embrace change. The definition of change is an act of becoming someone different.  Now embracing the uniqueness in others is now becoming a trend among our society. It’s good being different from others . I mean even 2 Chainz the Rapper embraced the concept of being different by making a song called I’m Different.

If we can began to embrace the concept of being different as society then why is it still hard to embrace change? In hindsight, change should be something we should be able to flow with in life. We should be as excited about change because it allows us to walk in newness of life; which means our past is literally gone. It’s gone until we make a decision to not allow it back in our life. I hope you decide not to do so.

I am not going to lie, I still struggle with change when it comes to huge transformations in life. It is something I am still trying to master as I grow in the spirit. When I began to get scared about change or try to control it; I try to think about  butterflies. When I am being distracted by old thoughts, the Universe (God) has its own way of reminding me about change by showing me a butterfly.

Butterflies is a symbol of change or metamorphism. Butterflies also represent abundance, which is a result of changing. Caterpillars never have any entities of being a beautiful butterfly. Within that transformation of becoming the process requires time, patience, and seclusion.

Imagine the caterpillar having a lot of alone time talking to the creator which is God. In that time, the caterpillar is discovering that its meant to fly not move slowing on the ground. Imagine how scared the caterpillar must be to lose what its been so use to having and now the time has come for the caterpillar to develop into something unfamiliar. I imagine the process of a caterpillar in to a butterfly to be the same process as humans with change. The interesting thing is that caterpillars tend to not have a choice, but humans tend to find a choice.

I believe since many are not willing to change we have a generation lacking in many areas of life like love, grace, compassion, wisdom, and knowledge. I believe that change  is vital for the evolution of humankind. I like to say many people age, but not enough people grow up. Even though change can be hard to go through, I believe it’s a blessing in disguise. I came up with 4 ways to accept change in successfully.

1.Become Present In The Moment (It’s a gift)

With the many different demands in life like mental health issues, family issues, owning your business, working a stressful job, school and social media; it’s not an easy task to be present in the moment. It’s always best to make time. Get use to breaking the rules if you want stillness.

When I began to think about others things like bills, lacks, and losses! I notice I began to control things around me and get anxious. I have learned to shift my thinking higher by embracing the concept that having less is true freedom.

I tend to sit in a still place where I can meditate and pray. Mindfulness and Qigong is another stillness practice to help you appreciate the presence of life. The past is gone and the future is not here yet. So, the only option you have is to embrace the present moment.

Isaiah 43:18-19 CEV states, “Forget what happened long ago! Don’t think about the past. I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it? I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands.” God is telling us to learn to embrace the small things in life and appreciate what’s been done already in your present moment.

2.Keep Your Mind And Heart Free

James 1:17 CEV states, “Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father who created all the lights in the heavens. He is always the same and never makes dark shadows by changing.”

I tend to focus a lot on letting go. The reason being is because it’s hard task for me and anyone of us to do. When changing, you have to be prepared to learn and accept new ideas and knowledge that will help you make your transformation more smooth.

When your thoughts are free from pain and hurt. It’s much easier to embrace change because you have opened yourself up to embrace the new. God will not do a new thing in our life if we do not free our mind and heart.

That example shows just how much God loves us that he will never force anything on us before we are ready to receive. Freedom of the mind and heart is the perfect gift for God to allow us to have. It’s the reflection of his light gleaming through us. He wants us to be free!

3.Embrace Change For Its Purpose In Your Life

Yes, after all your hard work. It’s definitely time to embrace the change and the purpose it has for your life. This is a time, where you began to understand why God wanted you to change in the first place.

He has blessings and opportunities for you that only the renewed version will be able to handle. Don’t allow being complacent in life to keep you stuck with the old that you will not be able to embrace the new. Everything you want and need that your true self identifies with is on the other side of change. You are not alone. God has your back.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 CEV explains the many different seasons in life. “Everything on earth has its own time and its own season. There is a time for birth and death, planting and reaping, for killing and healing, destroying and building, for crying and laughing, weeping and dancing, for throwing stones and gathering stones, embracing and parting. There is a time for finding and losing, keeping and giving, for tearing and sewing, listening and speaking. There is also a time for love and hate, for war and peace.”

God has a purpose for your change. The good, bad, and ugly in life. It’s time you embrace the change and its purpose it has for your life.

4.Be Prepared For Upgrade “You”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 CEV,”We never give up. Our bodies are gradually dying, but we ourselves are being made stronger each day. These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. Things that are seen don’t last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. This is why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen.”

Change can be painful and it does require killing the old version of self that was filled with depression, sorrow, pain, and anxiety. Not saying that those things won’t try to creep back, but you will be able to fight it in a healthy way. God will fight your battles for you if you prayer. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

Since you are changing within, it’s time to begin to plan your life for the upgrade version of you. Since you are changed within, you will no longer like or enjoy things you once did before. So, plan how you will live, love, and enjoy the new life God wants you too have. This does not mean material possessions but the true essences of life.

Our society is so use to upgrades on technology and other material possessions that we forget to prepare for the upgrade version of self. Just before your blessings and breakthrough is released. It’s best to get in the position of receiving or giving if this is your season.

In the end, you will began to give God all the glory because you will understand why God allowed Jesus to pay the way for our sins and discretions on earth. You will feel honored to show God glory for his love and grace upon the change in life. Your heart, mind, body, soul, and Spirit will be open and be able to connect with the scripture in

Psalms 103:1-11 CEV, “With all my heart I praise the Lord, and with all that I am I praise his holy name! With all my heart I praise the Lord! I will never forget how kind he has been. The Lord forgives our sins, heals us when we are sick, and protects us from death. His kindness and love are a crown on our heads. Each day that we live, he provides for our needs and gives us the strength of a young eagle. For all who are mistreated, the Lord brings justice. He taught his Law to Moses and showed all Israel what he could do. The Lord is merciful! He is kind and patient, and his love never fails. The Lord won’t always be angry and point out our sins; he doesn’t punish us as our sins deserve. How great is God’s love for all who worship him? Greater than the distance between heaven and earth!”

Remember change requires obedience! You can do this. Change is waiting for you to arrive.
