My heart hurts badly constantly seeing the death of Rapper Nipsey Hassle (Ermias Asghedom) on my newsfeed timeline. It hurts my heart. I’m not going to lie, I have been crying nonstop.
Thinking of another man (King) dying of an normalized crime hurts my soul so deeply. My heart hurts because there are too many stories, where we are losing our men and being ok with it.
This is not just a race thing but humanistic factor. All over the world. My heart hurts badly when I see a father that is nonexistent in a family bc I know how the family will struggle without the protector, provider, and the foundation of the home.
Living in such a way, where there is no hope and unable to do anything about it. As women, we fail to realize our true strength and true divine spiritual power. We believe that men only want our bodies. There are many men starving for so much more than we have enough self-love to give.
I’m sorry, but I love men. I feel in today’s society, some of us have to justify our love for men because we have so much women finding honor in bashing them. Where it’s a trend to bash men now. These are usually bitter, unhealed, and miserable women.
I was once that lady who abused, manipulated, and cursed their names because I carried deep wounds from men hurting me. I had a love/hate for them. I love them so much because I was blessed to have some great men in my life and I was hurt also because I had hurt men who hurt me.
It’s hurtful feeling to be hurt by the men close by who either abused you mentally, emotionally, physically, or verbally.
In a world that give you a million reasons not to believe in good of the Lord. Women expect the men to be providers, protectors , and to profess their love, but it time to play our part which is cover our men with prayer.
I felt that Ermias (Nipsey Hussle) gave us a good representation of what our generation needed. Showing us how God Loves our imperfections. We needed to see genuine and prolific love that a King of our generation has for his family and the community around.
I’m not talking about just spouses, I’m talking all titles that men hold. Fathers, cousins, uncles, brothers, sons, Grandfathers, and teachers.
Though I have been hurt by them doesn’t exclude my reasoning for saying they need prayer just as much as we do. We all need to be covered under the blood of Jesus.
So many of us are mad at God for world matters that we are tapping into everything and one but God. When God is a simple solution.
Matthew 5:44 CEV,”But I tell you to love your enemies and pray for anyone who mistreats you.”
Sometimes the enemy lives within us through our anger, bitterness, frustration, and unhealthy thoughts patterns that we get so caught up in our emotions as women that we allow our pride to prevent us from the very thing that will save those around us.
If we are not caught up in our pain and suffering as women then we are caught up in superficial realities meant to feed our ego and not our soul.
While many people have their moments and seasons in our life, it shouldn’t stop us from praying for those around us like the men. We need our men and no we cannot all things that men can do.
We are living in a time where everyone must be covered in prayer where you are protecting yourself and the men in your life from things seen and unseen that are not of God.
We need more young prayer warriors who know the will of God in their lives to save their communities from senseless crime and men from nervous mental breakdowns. Let’s save our men from drugs and alcohol, which result them to do harmful things to themselves, family, and communities.
Psalms 56:1, 3-13 CEV, “Have pity, God Most High! My enemies chase me all day.
but even when I am afraid, I keep on trusting you. I praise your promises! I trust you and am not afraid. No one can harm me. Enemies spend the whole day finding fault with me; all they think about is how to do me harm. They attack from ambush, watching my every step and hoping to kill me. They won’t get away with these crimes, God, because when you get angry, you destroy people. You have kept a record of my days of wandering. You have stored my tears in your bottle and counted each of them. When I pray, Lord God, my enemies will retreat, because I know for certain that you are with me. I praise your promises! I trust you and am not afraid. No one can harm me. I will keep my promises to you, my God, and bring your gifts. You protected me from death and kept me from stumbling so that I would please you and follow the light that leads to life.”
Learning from my own mistakes as a woman from my past, I am learning just how much prayer really works and establishing a prayer life is necessary for yourself and those connected to you.
Protection is necessary to live out your life purpose here on earth. Nothing is promised but our present moment. Yet, so many of us are subjected to thinking otherwise.
What God has shown me is that is not the actions of a man that should be judged but it is the posture of his heart that reveals the true tales of his character and his true intentions.
I have met many good men, who allowed the way of the world to turn their hearts cold. We as women cannot control or change men’s actions. God definitely can change their behavior, beliefs, and actions. It is time to put God first and pray for the men around who do not have enough strength to pray for themselves spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially.
This is why prayer is important because when we as women take matters into our own hands we are left looking like darkness working against God’s plan for the man’s life. Where I cannot speak for many but there are some women where this is not their true intentions.
Prayer allows us to practice love, peace and forgiveness in a healthy manner. Prayer for our men helps them stay balanced, strengthen, Loving, compassionate, and joyful within to sustain them, which helps them to sustain their spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being. Allow God to fight battles in for the men in your life. It time to put God First and seek him for protection and peace.
