This week taught me that applying, living, and accepting God’s Grace in my life is vital forever not just for one season of my life. God’s grace gives me the strength, willpower, and hope I look to every day I wake up. I think many take the concept of Grace for granted especially God’s Grace for our lives including myself.
Have you ever felt insufficient of giving yourself the self-worth or self-love you know you deserve? Have you ever felt your weaknesses coming against you when a hard or impossible task appear in life that you begin to talk yourself out of opportunities that could possibly push you forward?
How about when a big obstacle arrives because of your selfish decision? God’s Grace fits best in moments like these listed above. No worries Love, everything will be ok. We can either allow the self-critic within us to stray us away from things God’s says we can have, or we can begin to implement more self-love and self-worth in our lives by reading God’s word and applying it to our lives every day. The choice is always yours, which why he gives us free will to decide to do so. It’s up to you on how you want to apply free will to your life.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV states, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Confession: It’s hard for me to accept God’s grace for my life sometime because I always told myself not to rely on anyone to help me with tasks at hand. My ego told me that you cannot trust anyone including family to help you because you will always be let down. I know it’s my ego talking because at that moment I allowed my arrogance to expect everyone will be there when I need them especially since I will always break my back for them.
The issue with this way of thinking is that maybe I (others who can relate to this concept) expected people to pick the slack up for me when I was supposed to allow God’s Grace to move in my life! That’s another opportunity where things could begin to move forward in my life but I missed it because I was too focus on relying on Man and not on God!
It’s not just your skills and talents that he wants you to use for His Glory but God wants us to live with the Grace upon our lives. Living with Grace will teach us how to overcome obstacles more sufficiently and believe that all things will always work for our greater good! Here are 4 Ways To accepting God’s Grace upon your Life:
1.Be Patient with Yourself and God
I am always talking about patience because it’s something I struggle with and others because of our fast pace society. We expect everything fast because everything fast is accessible to us! We all know those good thing truly take time, but we cannot seem to find the pace to slow ourselves down because someone may get the “prize” before you do. There is no such thing in rushing or competition when you are competing with yourself every day.
If you have a task or obstacle(s) in front of you, where you just want it to be over. It won’t be over until you teach yourself how to relax and accept God’s Grace for your life especially if you are the reason the obstacle(s) appeared in your life.
Be patient because God is in no rush then, why should you? God’s grace teaches us how to simply live with elegance and allow the flow of life to lead wherever we need to go in this Life’s journey. Trust you will land on your feet safely.
When you begin to accept God’s Grace then you have everything you need to begin to dream big especially if it’s a part of his plan for your life. This is your life’s journey and only you can live the life that God’s says you deserve.
Hebrews 4:16NIV, “ Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
Some people avoid dreaming big because that don’t want to recognize or accept their insufficiencies. Like, we tell ourselves and others that we can do anything and everything, especially with the ME2 Movement. That’s not true that’s why many are walking around with anxiety and unhealed wombs with disorders or cysts. I know because I was one of you all for those who currently do. I used to be afraid to dream big also especially because I was listening to others who were not doing enough to tell me I can’t. Ignore them and dream big.
Romans 11:6NIV, “And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”
3.Live in Truth
God’s gives us permission to live with his truth, which is ours also. Live in truth of who you are especially when it goes against your self-worth and self-love. Living in truth requires you to live with freedom! No likes to be restricted or kept in a box that’s why many are rebellious against authority and the law.
Living in God’s truth will set you free. God sent his son (Jesus) to save us from our fleshy and controlling sins so humanity would not be destroyed. God’s Son dying on the cross is the reason many of us can live in and are able to accept God’s Grace. God’s Grace keeps us alive and functioning. Living in truth also means standing up for what’s righteous (not right) and justice. God loves justice!
Jesus knows the human experience, he lived it and his destiny required saving us. God sent his son. I know there are many people who will not send their children to save humanity, but God did.
John 1:14NIV,”The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Everyone is boasting what they have but never seem to give prompts, where prompts do! All things belong to the Lord, which are our gifts and talents to continue to save humanity. Grace gives us the ability to know that our life is not for our will but God’s will. He will bless you and reward you in the process of it all. Many don’t want to be humble because they cannot handle the fact that this life is not about them, where they must accept that all things will not revolve around them.
Many who grew up not having their needs met emotionally, mentally, physically, financially, or spiritually tend to boast more because we have told ourselves that lacking something means insufficient self. That’s means you are insufficient person, so we want it all with hopes of being fulfilled one day.
That’s is not always the case, maybe you didn’t have what others had because it wasn’t meant to be because it would have stopped what God needed to do in your life to teach others how he works. Be humble and work with what you have. I promise you, you will not be dissatisfied.
James 4:1-2NIV, “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.”
Wanting more may be the reason why you were selfish and may be facing some big obstacles. God’s Grace will always show you and tell you that you are enough just the way you are! Those are healing words right there… YOU ARE ENOUGH. Not because I said so but because God said so. Be blessed and encouraged this week! God loves you and so do I!
